Cirlinca hd audio solo9/1/2023 So, is there any way to master for Blu Ray Pure Audio without spending another $3,000 on new mastering software? The only thing I've found so far is Cirlinca HD-Audio Solo Ultra ($69), but can something so inexpensive produce a master for replication? Is there a DDP equivalent for the format?Īdmittedly, I'd be happier if the DVD-V option supported 24/48, but universal playability is a strong selling point, I must admit. On the bright side, Blu Ray supports 24/96 5.1 without compression. And then there's the small matter of DVD-Audio being called a "dead format." Doesn't make me want to invest in it.īlu Ray Pure Audio is the new kid on the block but there's fewer players out there (I'm guessing) and Wavelab doesn't support it, except as a data backup medium. Assuming I won't need a new mastering app too, the codec alone is $2,495. My mastering software (Wavelab 9) supports DVD-Audio, but now that I'm getting into the nitty-gritty, it seems there's no built-in support for MLP - required for the 24/96 5.1 surround format I was shooting for. I'm having difficulty choosing a physical distribution format for some HD surround projects I'm working on.
